Two Great Mounties : January 7, 2008 UPDATE: Hello Ritter family! It was really nice to meet you. I found two more photos of Kathryn and also I think two pretty nice photos of Lauren Murphy (?) and #8, who I don't know. If they would like these photos though, they are free. I'll try to go over the soccer photos when I have time and see if I can find any others that you might be interested in.

Hi, MaryAnne! I wanted to thank you for the compliments about my photos, because I'm really having fun learning photography. I got a few photos of some PO athletes at a soccer game I covered for The Progress and a track meet where I took photos for the WB yearbook.

The day you told me you enjoyed the web-site, I figured you'd like a Sepia & Color photo of Lauren. It's the least I could do for a co-worker! It's exciting that Lauren is looking at colleges, but the Senior year is always sad. I understand why she was so sad at her last soccer game. I bet softball will be very emotional, too.

I'm still a beginner. You can tell if you look at the Diadora on her shirt that the focus isn't spot on, but I'm getting a little better all the time.

At the X-C meet, I got two pictures of Kathryn Ritter. Do you think that Lauren could share them with her? I figured they would be a nice memory for her.

Living about 300 yards from the PO ballfield, I am hoping to take some PO baseball and softball photos this spring. I love watching baseball and softball, and practicing photography has made it even more fun. I'll post the photos, and if the kids see them and want them, they'll be free.

Mountie Baseball : June 2007 - These are some of the very first pictures I've taken with my Nikon D80. I used the Nikon Software "Picture Project" to add sepia tone.

Mountie Color Portraits : Here are some color photos I'm still working on. I've been trying to make them look like portraits (PhotoShop) by adding shadow around the edges and messing with levels.

Which J.D. Mason photo do you like best? : If you have a moment, tell me which style you like best. I like sepia tone for baseball photos. I'm a vintage baseball fanatic. I'm still learning how to use my Nikon software and Photoshop effectively.

Philipsburg Phil's Baseball : We went to see the Philipsburg Phils play some ball today. My cousins Matt and Luke Curtis are on the team. Also, two great guys from West Branch, Grady and Gavin Luzier are on the team. The Phils lost today, but they are having a great season, as usual.

P-O vs. Punxsutawney : My wife and I had a great time at the P-O vs. Punxsutawney Teener League All-Star game tonight. I got to hang out with Jolene Wesesky and talk a bit with Grady Luzier, too. I knew a lot of the ballplayers, but I mainly went to see Steven Rusnak, who's my best friend's nephew, eats all of his food, and plays God of War II with us. Also, Ryan Wesesky, who I taught in 5th grade.
